10:00 – 1:00 – 4 sessions (Theory & Practical) – 45 minutes each
1:00 – 1:30 Lunch Break
1:30 – 04:30 – 4 sessions (Theory & Practical) – 45 minutes each

  • Students are expected to report at College Premises latest by 9:50 AM
  • Classes will start at 10:00 AM sharp and conclude at 4:30 PM
  • Students who attend theory classes Pre-lunch will have practical classes Post-lunch and vice versa

  • Students are taken for a campus tour on the day of admission to acclimatize them with the environment which would play a crucial role during their course duration in shaping their career. On the scheduled Registration Day, students are expected to report on time and get themselves enrolled onto the departmental register. Teaching session at SIMT begins thereafter, with faculty briefing the academic plan including the schedule of sessions and assessments. Attendance in routine, Class Test & Pre-Board exams assessments is mandatory. Life at SIMT is a blend of rigorous academic activities as assignments, practical sessions, case studies, and assessments, and interspersed with co-curricular activities as local tours & industrial visits, workshops, guest lectures, seminars, group discussions, literary competitions, TECH-MOD - Annual Exhibition of technical models and others. The institute also organizes host of extra-curricular activities as Annual function, Sports Extravaganza and Fresher & Farewell parties in which active participation of students is inculcated.College also provides platform to budding writers to enhance their creative writing skills by launching of in-house college magazine; Abhivyakti.     Student Membership

    To foster the spirit of unity in diversity and rise above the feeling of class and creed, students across campus are randomly divided into four houses viz  Gandhi HouseDr. A. Kalam, Vivekananda and Subhash House.Each house is lead by a Captain and a Vice Captain.

    Clubs and committee

    • DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE :The committee comprises of Captains, Vice Captains and Prefect of each class and is authorized to look after issues pertaining to late comings, absenteeism, compliance to dress code and maintenance of overall discipline.

    • SPORTS COMMITTEE : The committee comprises of six Sport Executives who are responsible for arrangement of sports and sports related activities in the institute.

    • CULTURAL COMMITTEE : The committee comprises of Cultural Executives who are responsible for organizing cultural activities in the institute as Annual Function, Fresher & Farewell Parties

    • LITERARY COMMITTEE : The institute publishes college magazine Abhivyakti which provides a platform to budding writers to come up with their creative skills. The committee comprises of six students who are responsible for collection of articles, editing the matter and layout designing of the magazine.

    • COMMITTEE for SOCIAL CAUSES : We also have a committee for social causes in place. The committee encourages students to take-up activities on social platform as Conservation of Non-Renewable Energy, Water Conservation, Tree Plantation & Go-green initiatives, Blood donation etc.
